My students are hard-working students who appreciate additional support for school. They want to succeed in school and beyond. My students enjoy learning new things, and they like finding answers for themselves. They really enjoy technology to help them learn. Some of my students struggle with reading and/or math, but they continue to try and put forth their best effort. They have a "can do" attitude that helps them continue to learn even when they make mistakes. My students want supplies to help them stay organized and prepared while learning and studying.
My students are in need of organizational help. They struggle to keep track of papers, notes, and study guides. With file folders, pocket folders, colored pens, paper clips, and tabs, students can create an organizational system that will work for them and their needs. Each student can use the materials to customize a system that will work for them. Through organization, students can create portfolios of their work to demonstrate their mastery and learning throughout the year.
Organization is an important part of education.
Students need to be taught how to organize, and they need to experiment with different systems of organization to find what will work best for them. Color-coding, filing, and tabbing are all parts of organizational systems that my students will try to find the system that works best for them.
