Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school serves a student population that is 95% low-income, 98% minority, 62% English Language Learners, 9% Special Education students and 100% incredible. School enrollment has grown over time (and is now at full capacity) due to consistent improvement in school quality. We are now nearing almost 900 students.
Our school recently made the list of one of the top growing schools in our district!
We need your help to continue the positive momentum. Please support us in our efforts to ensure that every child succeeds at our school!
My Project
Even in the 21st century students need hands-on activities to support their learning. It is well documented that an important element of learning for young students is the manipulation of physical objects.
Give our students the paper they need to prosper as learners.
Our district as projected a budget shortfall due to the current public health crisis. Your generous support will ensure that our students' learn can continue in the fall with less negative impact. Printer paper will ensure that students have the right guides for their work and that families recieve important communications home. Folders help our students learn the important skill of organizing their materials. Chart paper ensure that students have authentic resources to access when they need support.
