My Students

Our school is situated at the mouth of the Columbia and the Pacific Ocean in a great little town known as Astoria, OR. Our students range from local families who have lived here all their lives to Coast Guard families who come and go a little more frequently.

Because of the positive attitudes towards learning that are being fostered here, our students are thriving as learners!

We want to continue to encourage these learners every step of the way with as many experiences and opportunities as possible. These gifts you are sharing will bring great joy to our students and will be treasured deeply.

My Project

This project is one out of necessity. These document cameras have become a teaching staple! Gone are the days of overhead sheets and colorful Vis-a-Vis pens! This document camera allows for a piece of paper to be turned into an interactive lesson launcher! Once the paper is placed under the camera, it is then projected onto our screen. I can work in real time to explain, model, and inform my students of how to complete a task! These cameras also have the capability to hook up to a computer/laptop and project anything from a program to a video to a still image! The possibilities are endless!
