My students need basic school supplies such as writing paper, pencils, markers, white out, post-its, dry erase markers, and staples to ensure they have all the materials for a successful school year.
I have a diverse group of eager-to-learn fourth-grade students in an integrated class. I teach students with disabilities alongside general education students. Most of my students require accommodations to achieve academic success. I incorporate a lot of movement and exercise into my lessons, especially for my students with ADHD. Sometimes I have to use manipulatives for my kinesthetic learners. Some of my students struggle with their language skills and need to attend speech and language therapy to target specific skills. Other times I use anchor charts for my visual learners and to aid my students who struggle with retaining information.
My classroom is a wonderful and inviting place to learn because I recognize the talents and abilities of every child.
Within my classroom, there is a wide range of student abilities and needs. My students' willingness to learn despite their disabilities is inspiring! I believe school should be interesting and engaging and I plan to offer the best help I could to make my students comfortable learning in a general education classroom.
My Project
I am requesting packs of writing paper, pencils, markers, post-its, staples and white-out to last the entire school year. This project will allow me to be able to provide my students with basic supplies they may need to have in school. I would like to put these worries aside for my students so they can start the school year focused, knowing that their needs are met in all academic areas.
I wanted to make sure I have enough basic resources to last throughout the school year.
I do not want my students to worry about not being able to complete an assignment or turn in a persuasive text because we ran out of paper or stressing during an exam about not having a pencil. When reading books, I want my students to have post-its to take notes for comprehension. I would rather my students focus on learning and striving for academic success than not having necessary everyday school supplies.
