This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are fun, excitable students. We have a great time in class, learning together and watching each other grow in our music education. They have insightful questions, a love for learning new things, and an appreciation for other cultures. What they do not have is the ability to keep a pencil with them. If I had a quarter for every pencil I have replaced in this year alone, I could fund the entirety of DonorsChoose projects

What my students lack in pencils, they make up for in a passion for music.

However, a passion for music will not help them complete Music Math worksheets.

We also need printer paper. We are responsible for making copies of all of our own music, and with MPA and spring concert season, that means a lot of paper.
