Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school offers completely free lunch due to our demographics. Many of the students do not have any type of technology at home. Most of the learning for these students is in the classroom. They want to be exposed to as many opportunities as possible.

My students are talented and gifted; they need lessons that enrich and take them beyond the regular curriculum.

They love to learn! Each day they come to school excited and ready to learn as much as they can.

My Project

We never have construction paper to use in class! The students love to make crafts and create awesome thinking maps about what they are learning. Many times regular paper is too short to do a really good thinking map.

My students love to show off what they have learned and putting it on paper is an excellent way.

We can also use the paper for writing projects. As the holidays are coming we can use them to make cards, create artwork, and many other things. As for the markers, all thinking maps need a black outline on them and we can NEVER find a black marker! Now we will have plenty.
