My Students
Our school is located in a large inner-city, where all of the students receive free breakfast and lunch. My first-grade students are amazing! They are energetic, fun, lovely children who have the drive to learn. They are like sponges absorbing all the information they can receive. Our parents want to help their children at home, but many do not speak English and money is tight. The language barrier causes a big struggle for our students on their way to be successful in school.
My Project
Unfortunately, my school is currently closed due to the coronavirus pandemic. I have been busy planning virtual lessons, gathering resources, teaching virtual lessons, and utilizing online resources. It has been a whirlwind! I am always thinking of ways to meet the needs of all of my learners and help them reach their goals. My students need printable activities and lessons that they can work on at home. My students' parents have also requested printables for their children.
Most of my students do not have access to a printer at home.
I am requesting pens and paper so that I can give printed learning activities to my students. They love colored paper and colored pens so I am going to send those along with the printables.
