Help me give my students the basic materials that they need to be successful - from crayons to paper - these are the things we need to make our classroom run.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Why are my students amazing? My students are amazing because many of them come from backgrounds that are challenging, but they never let it hold them down.
My students work hard at school, and that's why I work hard for them.
I make sure that state and city budgets don't limit my students' learning. I make sure that they get what they need to learn and to thrive in lessons big and small—and you are a big part of that!
My Project
These materials are the difference between having what we need and, well, not. These basic materials are the cornerstone of any classroom and they are often lacking in my school due to budget restrictions that don't reflect the hard work and excitement of my students.
Basic materials like paper, glue, pencils, scissors, and crayons help to turn a boring lesson into an engaging one.
They change the student product from plain to exciting. They make kids want to come in every day because they know that we have what they need to learn.
I am sometimes reluctant to ask for such mundane materials from donors, but the truth is, these are the materials that make my every day lessons a success. Thank you for supporting public education in America. We all appreciate that you believe in us.
