This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are creative learners in north St. Louis. They are excited about learning and trying new things. In the art room, I get to share the love of learning with new materials and experiences.
We are one of the largest elementary schools in the district with close to 500 children being served.
We host not only general education students but have Early Education and Special Education programs that reach a multitude of students. All abilities have the opportunity to be successful in art!
My Project
These materials are essential to the learning of my students. As of right now we have one white paint bottle and one ream of paper to last the rest of the year.
It is unknown when my art supplies will come in this year.
Without white paper my students will have nothing to create upon. Without white paint, my students won't have clouds, sheep, or details to apply. We are at a critical low with no supplies coming in. I am trading with other art teachers in the district to get what I need. Please help my students get the materials they need to grow in art.
