My Students
Our students are some special young people. They come from various backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses. They attend school in the lowest-funded district in the state, ranking 70 out of 70. But guess what? They rank 1 out of 70 in growth! That's right, our students attend school in the top-growing district in the state! This means our students care. They are hard-working, motivated, and driven to succeed. Because of the effort they put in and their determination, they deserve the very best learning environment and teacher.
My Project
My students live in an age where picking up a paperback or hardback book is no longer common or even desired. The allure of a lit screen is often preferred. But there is magic in the smell of a new book, turning its crisp pages, meeting characters that will pull you into an amazing story.
I want my students to have a diverse selection of books to choose from in order that they may fall in love with reading all over again.
I have chosen several different genres, subjects, interests, all in hope of seeing my students wanting to check out a book to read in or out of class. Please help me help them rediscover the joy waiting for them inside the pages!
