I teach in a wonderful school district with 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students that are eager to learn. My students are excited to come to school and work hard every day, but now that the world wide pandemic has changed our lives, my students miss the activities that we did in the classroom. Being in a Title I school means that not all my students always have the supplies that they need. I work with students that struggle with reading and writing every day. These special students mean the world to me and I want them to be successful!
My Project
Next year, the number of students in my classroom will be increasing. My students need specialized instruction for them to learn. My goal is to help my students become stronger readers and writers by visualizing the words that are being read to them and strengthening their understanding by writing! The students in my district are in a Title I area and struggle to make ends meet. This donation will help them get the supplies they need. With this pandemic in full swing, the future of our most at risk students needs to be our focus.
