Mrs. Larson from West Jordan UT is requesting flexible seating through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.

Pandemic Pluses

Help me give my students art supplies and seat sacks. The sacks will ensure cleanliness as students share desks in the dual immersion class. The art supplies will also allow them to avoid sharing supplies.

My Students

My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. They love learning and excel using many of the arts as we sing, draw, paint, etc. We also use technology in our classroom as we are living in the 21st century. I want to prepare them for the future. They live in a great area. Some of them are new to our country and are learning English. It is a very diverse class socio-economically and in levels of learning. They are part of the French Dual Immersion Program.

My Project

I have 42 students. They need the seat sacks to keep their work separate from the other students in the other class. I had seat sacks when I taught 3rd grade and was moved to 5th grade. The seat sacks I had do not fit the bigger chairs. It has been difficult for students to keep all of the notebooks, books, and papers on their desks. They barely have room to put their paper or Chromebook on the desk. It will help them to be organized and have the resources they need at their seat.

I would also like to be able to have separate art supplies for each class and not have them share any supplies.

This has been possible with most things, just not the pastels. They love doing art and creating projects.
