My classroom is tremendously affected by the coronavirus. Our school is Title I, and so many of my students are affected by the pandemic with either deaths in their families or someone they know. We are forced to learn and teach remotely during this time to make sure that their education is not lacking. Even though the state tests are cancelled, the goal is to teach them lifelong skills, and I try to do so the best way I can.
With a good computer that has a stylus, I can teach my students with interactive lessons, creating assessments that are more open-ended, and have videos to help guide them even though we are apart. A computer that is fully functional is critical to being able to do this. The Surface computer has a good operating system and can turn into a tablet to be able to record videos easily, write on documents, and easily videoconference with my students during these times of remote learning. Please help me teach my students from the South Bronx more effectively.
