Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Kindergarten students are incredible! For many it is their first time in school. Parents choose to send their child to our charter school rather than their neighborhood school. Therefore, they come to us with varying degrees of prior knowledge and experiences but with families who know the importance of a good education and being a partner in their child's learning. Some of our students attended pre-school while others have not. Our class is composed of varying socio-economic statuses, languages, and abilities. Throughout the school year our students will learn, discover, and grow in all abilities; social, emotional and academic.
My Project
Supplementing my curriculum by incorporating the use of educational apps that are recommended by our current curriculum, credited educational professionals and other educational programs on I-pads that are only offered on Apple devices will help in broadening the knowledge content my students are learning. In using iPads, the students will learn about technology safety, proper care and use of devices, how to log in, and learn to access the various applications in the educational apps on the iPad, as well as learning important computer test taking skills needed in their education.
