I have the privilege and honor to teach K through 6th grade STEM at our school. This is our second year of STEM. Students haven't had a lot of opportunities with technology and integration of interactive projects.
These students love these projects and look forward to coming to STEM every day.
STEM has made learning fun and hands-on again. Students constantly are wanting to do different hands-on projects and love showing off their work to other people around them. Making learning all about exploring and growing.
My Project
Integrating technology in a classroom can change the lives of many students. However, integrating technology into STEM is tough and expensive. Most students don't get an experience to use a new tool and to have an interactive project that they can be proud of. One that they truly learn from and will remember the material.
By donating to this project you will help students solve a real-world all while learning inside the state standards.
First, they will learn how to program Sphero Mini. Then they will learn how to help students who might not have the ability to paint by giving them a chance to dip the Sphero into the paint and driving him.
In this lesson, we are able to cover many standards by taking the Sphero and programming him to complete this task of becoming a paint brush. We are also able to share with the kids the history of art and the works of Jackson Pollock. Students get a taste from multiple subjects for one great project that could change the way a child thinks.
