We are a Title 1 school with 100% of our students receiving free and reduced-price breakfast and lunches. The families we serve want what is best for their children and the students in our school. The students in my counseling groups are very loving and caring individuals and share some difficult situations with me.
I want to foster an environment where students are comfortable sharing with me.
Our school goals include creating a respectful environment for our students and have an opportunity for students to do art as a form of expression.
The school provides a welcoming, safe and positive school environment for learning. Teachers and staff match instruction to the needs of the students.
My Project
The students in our school do not have an art class. In order for them to express themselves artistically I do my best to create lessons that incorporate the use of a variety of mediums.
For the upcoming project, the team and I have determined to provide canvas, acrylic paint, and the other materials needed for an in-class activity.
We also need an external hard drive for saving the photos of students and their work.
Living in an area where we cannot access the needed supplies, we will be depending on this DonorsChoose project funding to purchase the supplies. We expect about 80 students to sign up to participate in a special event.
