My students walk into school every day with a smile on their face and a willingness to try new things and learn. Every day the students are engaged and ready to tackle whatever comes their way. I love seeing their energy and their passion for learning; it reminds us why we wanted to be an educator.
I am a third-grade teacher, teaching in a new school in Utah where STEM education and hands on learning is a top priority.
Many of my students come from loving and supportive homes, where education is important to them and their families. I want my classroom to be a space where students feel supported and their educational needs can be met.
My students love doing art projects and I want to provide them with materials that will allow us to do more of it in the classroom. Resources are limited at times, so having my own class set of oil pastels and watercolors will allow my students more access to them and it will enable us to do more art in the classroom.
I love seeing their creativity brought to life, and through the use of these materials they will be able to let their creativity out.
I love being able to guide them through an art project and teach them how different paints work. I think children can through so much through art, so I am excited to be able to apply it more in my classroom.
