My Students

My students are in an accelerated program, called PAL. They are the other end of the spectrum from Special Education. However, much of what they need goes unfunded. They are very bright, have helpful families and come very far to school in order to participate in this program.

I love my students and really want them to have equal opportunities to a fair public education too.

We go above and beyond the school day and school year for our kids. We do plays, etiquette night extra field trips, end of term celebrations, big team projects, and have adapted a lot through Covid.

My Project

These supplies will help me and my parent volunteers do just that. The supplies can go home if we do go back on remote learning, but I hope to use them in our classroom for years to come.

Many of the art supplies are also multicultural.

They will allow my class to paint all of the colors in our human rainbow. I hope to do just that with the canvas, tempura and oil pastel supplies.

Art can bring a sense of normality to a child's education. These supplies will help build our Art Program back into the classroom. It is the freedom of expression that they so lack at this time. Students in my class also earn money to spend on prizes, Art Table time, and other fun activities.
