Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
There are 20 students in my classroom. They have recently discovered a variety of art mediums! It's thrilling to watch them create and collaborate on our art projects.
I am so happy to be part of their artistic endeavor.
It's thrilling to introduce Picasso, Matisse and Van Gogh to my students. These are the moments of teaching I cherish and will never forget!
My goal is to make art in the classroom an unforgettable experience. I want all of my students to realize they too can paint like Picasso.
My Project
Our classroom art projects are in desperate need of new art supplies in order to continue our lessons. We are currently relying on borrowed paint sets, paints, watercolors, brushes, and pastels which are from other teachers. Our current supplies are old and need to be replaced.
Drawing, painting, and learning about artists is a necessity in the classroom.
These materials will help us reach our goal and create well-rounded student learning experiences.
Our classrooms need to incorporate student expression. Students need to be familiar with the basics of all art mediums. The materials requested will enable my classroom to continue the experience of art appreciation and art awareness.
