My students need canvas to mark the next stage in their painting careers. Canvas can be a gift for all the time and energy students have devoted to their art, and a motivator to continue.

My Students

These Advanced and AP Art students are interested in delving into art projects and making truly original artworks where their voices are heard.

Our students are interested in a sustained investigation of ideas and artists they have been inspired by over the last few years.

They are passing over that at which they already excel in search of answers that lay within the struggle of the new. They are continually learning different means of expression, and getting closer and closer to discovering what they truly want to say.

My Project

Art students love to be recognized for making quality work. Like students who play on sports teams or in drama, art students need a venue for showing off their talents. The "uniform" canvases convey the notion that the work is to be taken seriously, that the students are in this together, and that the show, like a game, is a special time.

Painting on canvas allows student work to be displayed and appreciated in a meaningful venue.

It gives younger students something to aspire to. After a great deal of practice, they may graduate to painting on canvas with all of the (student) artists who came before them.
