This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
8th Grade Physical science is typically not a favorite among students. The scholars that I teach at Inman Middle School have found their niche in Chemistry and Physics and they are using their interests to drive their learning.
In my classroom, they know that hard work pays off always!
My 8th grade Hardworking, Creative and Inquisitive students work hard at setting and meeting their goals. My students are true scientist who work hard daily to be their very best. It is my goal this year to integrate career skills into each unit with the hope of inspiring my scholars to be their very best!
My Project
Future Health Care Professionals!
Help me give my students Lab Coats, Stethoscopes and Sheep Eyes to Dissect!
My Project
X-rays, Stethoscopes, How the Eye perceives light, these are phenomena that scholars ask questions about and questions that drive their learning. Taking the lead from my students, I have developed a unit lesson plan that utilizes Health care professions as as our launch pad to discovering the helpful and harmful uses of the Electromagnetic Spectrum.
As the need for nurses and other health care professionals rises, it is important to expose our students to health care professions and techniques.
It is my goal as an educator to create a learning environment where I teach the standards along with real life examples.
The upcoming unit on the electromagnetic spectrum is a unit that over the years has been difficult for scholars to understand. By engaging students in real life application of the Electromagnetic spectrum from the aspect of doctors, nurses and other health care professionals, I believe that students will be able to see the practical use of electromagnetic spectrum and electromagnetic waves.
