My students are energetic and enthusiastic learners that are always up for a creative challenge. Most of the students in my classroom are members of an active military family. A number of those students are attending our school for a brief period, usually 1.5-2 years while a parent attends specialized schooling or training. We are often challenged with language barriers but they are always eager to learn.
I understand how important it is to reach these youngsters that were born in a digital age and for that reason I strive to incorporate technology into the classroom as much as possible.
The majority of the students in my classroom are in transition in their lives that require them to move frequently and to be resilient learners. I want to foster creativity, collaboration, and the use of technology as catalysts in the classroom.
My Project
Utilizing iPads in my classroom will unlock so many creative presentation possibilities for my students. Fourth graders are adept at technology and love to present their knowledge in a format that is cutting-edge and inspired.
My students are so eager to have daily access to the technology that opens for them limitless opportunities for knowledge and information.
The possibilities to collaborate, create, and demonstrate understanding through current technology resources will ignite and inspire my students. Oftentimes, students have expectations for technological use in the classroom based on previous experiences. My goal is to provide the opportunity for students to have access to current resources found in many classrooms.
