Help me give my students multiple opportunities to learn at their own pace using a variety of Hot Dot Sets, while I am working one on one and in small groups at my horseshoe table!

My Students

My classroom is brimming over with rambunctious, eager to learn young people! As with any classroom, I have a plethora of learning abilities amongst my crew.

Along with this mix of abilities in my class, I have been noticing it is becoming increasingly more difficult to keep each student focused and on task.

Although they are each a joy in their own unique way, I have found I'm having to utilize multiple tricks from my teaching hat in order to educate and stimulate their thirsts for knowledge.

My Project

All students learn at a different pace, just as it takes a plethora of ideas to get them engaged. One of the biggest challenges for educators today is keeping our students focused while we are attempting to achieve one on one time during small groups.

I want to create independent centers for students so I can give more attention to the students directly in front of me.

The goal for small groups is to both, help the individuals directly in front of you and keep the others actively learning without your direct instruction.

Working independently can be very beneficial and also encouraging. I want to supply my students with the appropriate tools needed for independent learning so they gain, not only knowledge, but a true confidence that is most successfully taught through individually paced and self-motivated learning. Ii am asking for a variety of hot dots cards and resources as well as some wobble chairs.
