This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are first and second graders who attend an inner city school in Wisconsin. They have a variety of disabilities including significant developmental delays and learning disabilities. We work on early skills, self-help skills, fine and gross motor, and social-emotional skills.
Many of my students live in extreme poverty, all receive free lunch and breakfast, and school is so much more than just learning!
We provide them with a safe and nurturing environment that allows them to grow and learn.
My Project
My students need paper. In order for my students to complete many lessons and activities, they need paper in order to do them.
I like to make many of my own lessons so I am better able to meet the individual needs of my students.
I have a wide range of skills and ability in my special education resource classroom. Being a high needs school and runs very low on supplies and materials, particularly by this time in the school year.
I must print and copy frequently to include modifications and accommodations for my students so they are able to make progress towards their IEP goals, so we need two boxes of paper.
