Ozobots Unite!

Help me give my students Ozobots to further enhance their coding experience. My students have had a great deal of experience coding using online code programs, but having Ozobots will allow them some very hands-on experience.

My Students

I will see approximately 350 K-6th grade students throughout the school year. These students will come to the STEM classroom 2 times a week for 45 minute sessions. We are a Title I school that has almost 90% free and reduced priced lunch rate. I have students that have been affected by the Flint Water Crisis. Even though my students have many socioeconomic hardships against them, they persevere. They come to school wanting to learn and to be better every day. My students love to learn through collaboration. They are eager to learn and to challenge themselves. My students are caring and work well together.

My Project

Ozobots will give my students the opportunity to experience collaboration and coding. Ozobots will and can be used to teach math, science, and social studies and reading skills along with coding. Ozobots are a great resource for teaching multiplication, planets, order of historical events, and reading fluency.

Bill Gates says, "Technology is just a tool; In terms of getting the kids working together and motivating them, the teacher is the most important." I am that teacher!

I strongly believe in students working together and believing they can achieve ANYTHING. I just need the tools now.

Ozobots will aid in having students work together collaboratively. The Ozobots will promote learning from their peers and creativity. Students will use critical thinking to solve problems.
