My Students

We are a Title I school, and many of our students do not have opportunities that many other children have. I would like to expand and engage my students' learning beyond the classroom to include other areas around the world, their home, their lives, and their community. With our current generation, students are more digitally attached than ever before.

I'm determined to help my students understand the beginning concept of STEM and that anyone is able to get into any STEM field as they pursue a university degree.

My Project

My students need another Ozobot coding robot (for incorporating programming and technology into our classroom. The Ozobot will provide my students with an opportunity to begin coding in a fun and engaging way. My students will use the Ozobot to create and explore while designing electrical circuits, solving engineering problems, and developing programs and codes. This Ozobot will combine technology, engineering, and creativity in our classroom. My students can use markers to design a pathway for the Ozobot to travel, with different color combinations representing different movement commands. With the Ozobot, we can even create an Ozobot racetrack and compete to see which student team can create the fastest course. As my students learn skills to code and program, they will also develop creative thinking skills, which are essential elements of a STEM classroom. Thank you for bringing these Ozobot coding robots to my students!
