I have an amazing class full of students who love challenges. I am a second year teacher (first year teacher for first grade), and I absolutely love my job. My students are hardworking, caring, collaborative, and of course, awesome! I feel so lucky to have such a wonderful group of students.
I am so proud of each and every one of them, and I make sure to tell them how I feel every day.
My students show up each day eager and excited about learning. They are growing and learning so much each day, and I cannot believe how far they have come during our time together. I taught kindergarten last year, and it has been a wonderful experience seeing a year and a half of growth from the students I had last year as well.
My Project
These resources will greatly affect my students' learning. I have had my students try out Ozobots in the past by borrowing them from the district office. The students had the opportunity to explore in a collaborative way and discover what codes the Ozobots respond to. While looking around my classroom I saw so much excitement, collaboration, persistence, and engagement.
Ozobots allow for a kinesthetic way to learn about coding through the means of color coding with markers.
Ozobots challenge students to be collaborative, creative, 21st century learners. Coding is a valuable and important skill for children to have, and Ozobots allow coding to be taught in a fun, comprehensible, and engaging way. I could not be more excited to bring Ozobots into the classroom!
