This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students enter our classroom every morning with a big smile on their faces, excited, happy and ready to learn! As English Language Learners, my students learn best with hands-on, engaging activities. Many of my students have limited or no access to technology outside of our classroom.

I teach in a Title I school where all of my students are English Language Learners, where English is their second language.

Many of my students receive bags of food every Friday to help feed them and their family members over the weekend. Despite living in substandard living conditions, my students enter our classroom each morning with smiles on their faces ready to learn!

My Project

My students are very motivated to learn, despite many obstacles and barriers that they face each day. In partners or small groups, my students will collaborate and program Ozobots to complete specific tasks which require them to apply reasoning skills. My students will be using the Ozobots across the curriculum to include activities in Math, Reading, Science and Social Studies.

These donations will allow my students to be creative, explore, experiment and learn while maintaining a high level of active engagement.

In today's world of technology, my students deserve a chance to use technology in the classroom to help prepare them for the big world that awaits them.
