Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students in my classroom are 6th grade, self-contained students. They have intellectual, sensory, and emotional impairments that are aided by a small classroom setting. My students struggle with mathematics concepts and this year our goals are to build confidence in our foundation math skills and to become more engaged with our learning.
My students work together as a community based on their learning styles and interests.
They work very hard and a big issue for them is the retention of topics. I am always looking for new and interesting ways in order to help them to thrive and remember different topics. We are a part of a large school that celebrates inquisitive learning. All of my students are working hard towards high school and college by relating all of their topics to real-world situations.
My Project
My students love to learn new things. Coding and technology is a huge part of our society. The Ozobots will be used to allow my students the opportunity to learn to code and program these bots.
By donating to this project, you will help my students to acquire skills which will boost their academic achievement and help them in today's society.
The world is ever-changing and my students want the opportunity to change and grow with it.
This will allow my students to learn the academic material they need but in a fun way. My students will have the opportunity to incorporate STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) into their everyday learning.
