Oxymoron: Fast Computer

My students need a computer that works to enhance access to all subjects and will be used as a catalyst for learning in the classroom.

My Students

Help! Our only classroom student computer is so old it is waiting to get fixed more often then it is working. This machine needs to be replaced.

Our school has a fully collaborative resource model that services 8th graders with all varied academic ability levels and specific needs.

Students are given the support they need to succeed in all of their academic classes. The unique learning styles of these students require lessons that are multi sensory in nature and often include visual and kinesthetic aids to support their learning. The use of a working computer to type reports, utilize online math lessons, and access the interactive science programs would enhance these students academic lives.

My Project

Workbooks, worksheets, and lectures can only go so far. The added benefit of a computer in the classroom would allow my students to focus on key concepts like reading, mathematics, and interactive science through a fun and engaging medium. Will you please be so kind as to help my students reach their potential? Any amount would help towards meeting this goal and making a difference in the lives of students.

Many of my students do not have a computer at home and the classroom computer is the only time they get to utilize a technology that for many is now taken for granted.

This makes the impact of a donation to our class so great in the lives of students who are working hard to make good choices on a daily basis.
