Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

When I did my student teaching, I had the privilege of having an overhead projector in the classroom with a cart. When I received my own classroom, there was an old overhead projector with no cart. Every time we tried to use the overhead, we had to put it on a students desk and position it in various places around the room. Then one day the bulb blew out and my principal said she was going to see about ordering more bulbs for it, but because it is so old companies might not make bulbs for this type any longer. When my students were able to use the overhead it was so much fun, because the students love to answer questions on the overhead as opposed to the the old chalkboard. The students tend to be more interested in the lesson when we use the overhead projector. So the students of room 202 at Ericson Scholastic Academy would like to ask for an Overhead Projector and a Cart to go along with it, to make for easy use.
