My students need overhead mics to use in the auditorium during performances. These mics will serve dual purposes as they can be used during choral programs and also during drama programs.
My students come from every socioeconomic background. They have chosen to take choir or participate in the Theater Program and are dedicated to the highest quality music. Students in 7th Grade through 12th Grade, in three different choirs, work every day to learn tricky repertoire while making friendships that will last a lifetime. Many students also participate in the Spring Musical.
Our school is fairly rural, and students often come from farming communities without a lot of money but with tons of support.
It is my hope to provide them with high quality instruction and experiences that they might not otherwise receive.
My Project
Our high school is in desperate need of new overhead mics for the auditorium. Our current mics are very old and no longer work to pick up the beautiful voices of our ensembles. Our school currently has three choirs as well as a drama program which all utilize the sound equipment in the auditorium. While the school is working to upgrade many of the items in the auditorium, the overhead mics did not make the cut.
With these new mics, we will have very high quality sound for our Spring Musical and our Spring Concert.
The students will be so excited to see the upgrades to our auditorium. As a new teacher at this school, I am committed to bringing these students the highly skilled and respected programs they need.
