What an unprecedented time. It has been a whirlwind of challenges, emotions, and uncertainty in the past two years. This year, students are returning to the classroom and I would love to give them the opportunity to work on hands-on materials. My school is a Title I school with a majority of students of low socioeconomic status. Parents have to work to make ends meet, leaving the students in the house.
Despite this, my students are resilient and adjusting to change as best they can.
They are eager to learn, communicate, and thrive despite the lack of resources at home. With your help, I want to provide my students with the right support, resources, opportunities, and tools to enhance their learning experiences for in person learning!
My Project
As you may know, if students don't feel safe in their classroom, it will greatly impact their learning experience. The most important thing I can do as a teacher is ensure that my students will be safe when they enter my classroom after Winter Break. With Omicron raging and students in class soon, we need some help in keeping everyone safe. Please help me keep my students' faces covered, help us all stay safe from the new variant. Please help us get more disposable 4 layers masks into our classroom, so we all feel safe and ready for learning in the new year! With your help, I can provide my students with a healthy, safe and germ-free classroom as well as teaching students about good hygiene!
