My Students

I am a Kindergarten teacher. I love working with this age group and watching them explore, learn and begin to love school. Our school is a Pre-kindergarten through 4th grade building. Over half of my kids qualify for free or reduced price lunches this year. My students are very eager to learn and learn best with hands-on activities. I strive to provide great materials that will encourage my students to want to learn. My students develop ownership and respect for their classroom and the materials they use in the room.

Each year, I strive to build a strong connection with my students and their families.

I feel it is so important that my students and families feel that they belong and can come to me with anything. My students leave each year feeling that they were part of our "Kindergarten family."

Each project donated to our classroom will truly help the students' learning process and will provide new and exciting tools to keep them engaged in the learning process. Thank you so much for considering a donation to my students. We greatly appreciate you!

My Project

I have implemented Math Daily 3 Stations into my classroom and I am really excited about giving my students more independent activities to work on after I teach the mini lesson. I am asking for math activities that will go along with our curriculum that the students can do with a partner or individually.

Math stations allow the students to develop independence, stamina and accountability.

During math station time I am able to work with small groups so I am able to meet the needs of all my students during this time while I have 3 other groups working independently.

My students need ready to go hands on independent math activities that will excite the kids about math. Imagine a classroom full of energetic 5 and 6 year old children getting to work hands on with counting, addition and geometry skills. The activities are brightly colored, allow the children to self check their work and gives simple directions that the students will be able to follow. All these hands on activities will help engage my students in the learning process.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read about our project!
