Writing folders, leveled books and theme packets would stay organized and close-at-hand if each of my students had an 'Over the Chair Storage Buddy!' These handy slip-on storage pockets are just what my students need to keep their journals, personal word walls, books and additional materials in a central location. I teach a Kindergarten/1st grade multiage classroom at Foxboro Elementary in Vacaville, California. Our program here is designed to foster teamwork and interdependence for all students and one way this is promoted is through the use of round tables instead of individual desks. Without a personal desk to store frequently used materials, we have had to create time-consuming routines for getting materials out and putting them away. The storage buddy would bring many materials to a very convenient place--behind their personal chair! My 20 students join me in thanking you in advance for considering funding this proposal!
