This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

A typical day in our classroom is very busy. We are jam packed with math, guided reading, reading, writing, guided math, and then either music or PE. My students are awesome and have such great attitudes even though home lives are hard. We really work on teaching the whole child.

My students deserve the opportunities that sometimes we cannot give them.

My students tend to be lower in the main content areas. We spend a lot of time learning in these content areas but also need to work on life skills. They are amazing kids.

My Project

These chromebooks will help students bring the outside into the classroom. My students will use these chromebooks for every subject area. My students learn how to research and interact with their learning. The options for what we can do in our classroom increases with the technology that you could help provide.

My students take charge of their learning with technology.

They are able to explore avenues that they might not have thought of to explore. It has been amazing seeing how the students use the technology to further their learning. I want to be able to provide them with the tools needed to be successful in the future.
