My Students

Here at OI we have a small space that is a favorite hangout for students during our lunch and brunch times. I am overseeing the revitalization of this space to make it more attractive by installing some native plants and more seating for students. I plan on placing several benches in various places throughout the garden space to allow for students to sit, eat, and socialize in an outdoor space. In addition, the space can be used as an outdoor classroom as needed.

My Project

My school garden club's plan this year it to revitalize this space and this will be the first step in that direction. More seating and better plantings for shade are our final goal.

These benches are heavy duty and are excellent for outdoor use and will last for years which will provide desperately needed seating for more students this favorite hang out for students at lunch and brunch.

These benches will also keep the students from climbing up on and sitting on the fences and railings around the garden. We believe the better maintained our garden looks, the more care the students will show toward this space.
