My Students

I love that my students are a mixture of different cultures. Each brings their uniqueness to the class and makes it wonderful. They are all going through transitions in their lives and it is amazing to watch them change into better versions of themselves.

I have discovered that most of my students love science and that they are genuinely interested in the majority of the topics we cover.

As a science major and lover, I know that it is crucial to experience scientific principals instead of simply reading about them.

My Project

With the ability to bring the classroom outside, my students will be able to view ecological concepts firsthand. These concepts are so much easier to grasp when students are able to look and see them in action in their own back yard!

I have also discovered that students genuinely work better when they are out in the fresh air.

Simply giving students the ability to complete their assignments outside will help them focus and learn much better.

This project would give my students all this and more. A lot of them don’t have the option of going into a creek to view that ecosystem. This project would give them unique experiences they may not get anywhere else.
