Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are amazing! We love learning hands-on, creating memories together, and having fun while we grow together.
Our school is a Title I school where most of my students come from diverse homes or are English language learners.
Fortunately, our school is able to offer 100% free breakfast and lunch to all of our students. But, it is difficult for these families to provide all the necessities for the success of their children's education.
My students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. I am looking to keep things fun, engaging, and provide my students with a meaningful learning experience.
My Project
I want to get my students excited to move around during recess. With our current situation (COVID), our playground is closed. With these materials, I would like to give my students an opportunity to move, kick, and interact with other students outside our classroom and give them a sense of normalcy.
Footballs, soccer balls, basketballs, any outdoor materials really are all things my students love.
I've added these materials on my Donors Choose, for my students. If donated, students can take a break from the classroom and be a kid. They will exercise their mind and bodies and just be a kid! All while practicing health and safety guidelines.
