This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students attend a primary center in downtown Los Angeles. Almost 99% of the school population qualifies for free lunches. Many of the families have to work two jobs to make ends meet since the cost of living is very high. Many of these children do not have access to a computer at home. Many of them come to kindergarten without preschool experience. However, they are ready to learn and want to be successful in their school career. They always strive for the best.

My Project

My students need these balls to do

physical education on a daily basis.

Students need to do physical education to improve their gross motor skills and other skills to stay physically active . Obesity in children is big health issue. Hence, I try to help my students stay active and healthy with jumping, running , throwing , catching during our physical education lessons

. It helps children stay healthy and strong as well as create social

skills and sportsmanship . Incorporating a value for physical education in all kindergarten students is very important to me because it is something that they will carry forever .
