My Students

My class is a welcoming and diverse community. There are dozens of languages and cultures represented in our district. Our third grade has a broad mix of socioeconomic statuses. They all bring such knowledge and enthusiasm to the classroom!

Our students are growing and developing at such a rapid pace!

They are inquisitive, motivated, and active. Our school works to foster a sense of community and belonging for all our students.

My Project

We will use these chairs for everything! We will take these portable chairs outdoors for independent reading and read aloud. They will also be perfect for lunch in our designated lunch spot underneath the cottonwood trees.

Knowing that the least safe place to be during the time of COVID is indoors, we are planning on taking our learning outdoors!

Our classroom has no windows, giving us very little access to fresh air. However, we are blessed with a huge schoolyard that includes a forest, brook, fields, and gardens. These chairs will enable us to move to the outdoors and continue our learning in these well-ventilated and beautiful areas.
