I have been a kindergarten teacher for 12 years. I love working with young minds, and helping them build a love of learning. My students love hands-on activities and exploring science through nature and classroom activities.
Kindergarten students are innately inquisitive about the natural world, and it is my job to to develop learning and activities that are engaging and form the foundation for lifelong learners.
By engaging students in nature, they become more observant and aware of their world.
My Project
Kindergarten students are naturally inquisitive about the world around them. Spending time outside of our building, in our "outdoor classroom", students can engage with nature, collaborate with each other, and inquire about the world around them.
By donating to this project, you will be providing materials for an outdoor classroom that will engage my students, and allow them to observe, write, and sketch about their findings.
With a mobile cart, we can take everything with us on our journeys in nature. The clipboards, colored pencils, resource books and magnifying glasses give students access to materials that make them feel like a scientist.
