Help me give my students updated technology. I currently have Windows laptops from the early 90's! We need to get with the 21st-century!

My Students

My middle school kids have a curiosity and a desire to learn that, to me, is unparalleled. I teach 6 classes and all of my students are excited when they come through the door.

Our students come from all walks of life and come to our school because they didn't seem to fit in at their district schools.

That is the benefit of living in a choice state! I want to give them the world to help them be successful!

My Project

Right now, I have 6 laptops in my classroom that are Dell Latitude D630s that were originally made to run Windows XP. These devices are outdated and slow! (Google Image search and you will see what I mean)

I want to get Chromebooks that would be used solely in my classroom for those times when we are working on writing tasks or utilizing the internet for learning.

This would not only provide my students with awesome technology but would free up the Chromebooks that the school has, so that other teachers could use them in their classrooms! We do a lot of writing, research, and reading online and having the technology to do so would make us all happy and engaged learners.
