Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are excited to learn! We need to have the resources to make sure that we are able to learn like many other schools and towns around us. We are a high poverty area in Northern Illinois. My class is very high energy and it takes a lot to get them interested in a subject. Once they get interested, they want to know as much as they can about the subject as possible. My students are also extremely hard workers. They want to do as much as they can throughout the day so they need to have resources available to them.
My Project
The students in the school that I teach at are great students. They are hard workers and want to do well. They are very interested in learning. There are some times throughout the school year that the teachers like to reward the students in the school.
We hold raffles for the students so that they are able to see all of their hard work paying off.
The students receive games, crafts, toys, and sporting equipment. The students look forward to this day, because they are able to choose what they want for all of their hard work. It is nice to see the students get excited about what they have earned throughout the year.
