Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our kindergarten students are eager to learn and are full of questions! They love coming to school each day and are always ready to try new things!
We want to create an environment where our students feel comfortable and can have fun learning and exploring!
They love to participate in hands-on and engaging activities.
We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are an incredible group, and we are so lucky and thankful to have a group of learners that are excited and ready to learn!
My Project
We are asking for 90 subscriptions to Scholastic-Let's Find Out and Science Spin magazines to help increase our students interest and knowledge in literacy, science, and social studies!
Scholastic magazines cover theme-based, high interest, relevant real-world issues that will encourage our kindergarteners to get excited and engaged in reading!
Non-fiction texts are always loved by our students!
It's a win-win because while they are introduced to a wealth of informational texts, they truly enjoy it because they are curious about our world! When reading is connected across the curriculum it aids students in making connections that we sometimes don't even realize!
We are also hoping to get 90 take home folders to ensure communication between home and school. These folders should be durable enough to last the whole school year!
Also, as we move to our new campus space is limited. I was hoping to purchase a small, moveable standing table to help me organize materials for classroom instruction.
