Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The children in our class come to school excited and ready to learn each day. Our students are at varying degrees of reading levels, and we really need a library that would encompass all of those levels.
The students in our class are part of the Nest program.
It is a small classroom with twelve students. We have several students who are at various levels on the autism spectrum. Our students support each other and thrive academically and socially in a family like atmosphere.
My Project
The students in our class thrive when they are given the opportunity to learn through a hands on approach.
Having level appropriate, colorful books encourages a love of reading. Students would be able to observe and experience the wonder of the animal life cycle by watching butterflies hatch in the Butterfly Nursery.
We are an inner city school, and many of our students don't have the opportunity to observe nature or have the resources to have access to a variety of books.
Any donations to our class would greatly improve our students' daily activities.
