This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach an eager bunch of English Language learners from an inner city public school district. The majority of my students have had interrupted education and are new to our country. I love how my students adapt to being in a new environment all while learning a new language.

My students are motivated and determined learners that strive to seek proficiency in the English language in all content areas.

There are many challenges because not only do they have to learn a new language, they have to come to a new school and learn new rituals and routines of how schools are in America. However, they still come to school everyday willing to learn.

My Project

The PEEQ Wireless Microphone ball will be a great piece of technology in our classrooms to help students share their writing and be heard while doing so. Students tend to be shy when it comes to sharing their work but this is an important step in teaching kids how to publicly speak in front of a crowd.

The PEEQ Wireless Microphone ball will make it fun and interesting for students and they will be motivated to share their work.

It will give them something to look forward to once they publish their writing pieces or when we do presentations in the classroom. Students can also use the PEEQ Wireless Microphone ball to share their thinking when they are solving mathematical equations.
