This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our Title One school is blessed with a culturally rich, diverse population, with ninety-two percent of students qualifying for free or reduced-price lunches, and a high concentration of English Language Learners. Sean Junkin's quote, "So often you find that the students you're trying to inspire are the ones that end up inspiring you," applies to my classroom every day.

Our students have generous hearts that will change the world if they are given opportunities to share their passions and learning with others.

They will inspire you, as they inspire me each day.

My Project

My students are entrepreneurs. The first graders in my school have created a product that we sell to our community. Each class has a different responsibility in the “business”. My class is the marketing department. We make videos, and post pictures on social media regularly in order to market our product. We need a quality microphone to record for our video purposes and a sign prop to use for our various recording and photo ops. Sound quality has always been an issue with our videos so far. I want my students to learn how to make high quality advertising using the best tools possible. I know having these new materials will catapult my students excitement and create some amazing cooperative learning experiences.
