Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My classroom is made up of a myraid of students, from gifted students to students with learning disabilities. Our school is a Title One school in New York. Most of these students come from high poverty, low, socioeconomic backgrounds.

These children all have very different trejectories but I want my classroom to be a safe place they enjoy and have fun in everyday.

The Technology lab is a great place for students to explore many talents and learn about new and exciting things.

I know the chance of having more technology would allow so many more learning opportunities for my students.

My Project

Working without functional headphones is a challenge in a STEM program. Headphones may not seem like much, but they're the first thing kids grab before they sit down. Heaphones are used on various web programs like (coding, splashmath, frontrowed, tenmarks, thinkcentral, myon, khan academy, starfall, pbskids) and are used to create and edit videos.

Headphones allow for some personal private time on computer stations.

The materials I have requested will be utilized daily by my students. From the websites they visit, to the videos they watch and create. It will make their time in my class memorable and stimulating, as well as improve their learning experiences.
