My Students
Our school serves roughly 500 students from the Bayview neighborhood of San Francisco. Many of our students and families experience community and economic stressors, complex trauma, and a variety of health issues.
Despite these challenges, our students are also tremendously resilient and excited to learn.
However, their health and wellness needs are not always met.
I work in the Health and Wellness Center with a team of providers. We collaborate with school staff to ensure that all our students are safe, healthy, and ready to learn.
My Project
Our school, located in the Bernal Heights neighborhood, serves predominately low-income, students of color from San Francisco. Many of our students and families experience family, community and economic stressors that prevent them from accessing basic items, such as toiletries.
Despite these challenges, our students are also tremendously resilient and excited to learn.
However, their health and wellness needs are not always met. By providing our students with basic toiletries, you can help us ensure that all our students can show up to school healthy and ready to learn - and with the security that we will have what they need.
